Emery Worldwide Airlines Flight 17
Thank you for your interest in the events surrounding the crash of Emery Worldwide Airlines flight number 017. The Emery flight 17 aircargo disaster occurred on February 16, 2000, near Sacramento, California. There were no survivors. This site is dedicated to the memory of the Emery flight 17 aircrew and to all former Emery aircrew members who, before and after the crash, demonstrated the leadership, courage, and relentless resolve to bring about safer working conditions – despite persistent personal and professional adversity and obstacles at every turn. An immeasurable debt of gratitude is owed to their commitment to public safety and to the greater good.
Indeed, “WE WILL NEVER FORGET.”

WEBSITE EXCERPT: Just five months before the fatal crash, Emery's pilot group pleaded yet again with FAA leadership. They wrote: "EWA is out of the regulator’s eye. …Why are the authorities continuing to turn a blind eye? The lower echelon of the regulatory agencies have substantiated our concerns. … However, it is the upper echelon that appears to be dragging its feet. …If we have an accident in the near future, the subsequent investigation will show sainthood on the part of Value Jet when compared to Emery Worldwide Airlines. …Emery crews are living on borrowed time."
